WebTech Wireless' InterFleet® Emergency Response Vehicle Solution Being Rolled-out by Province of Manitoba

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 10, 2010) -

All amounts in Canadian dollars (CDN$) unless otherwise noted.

WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a leading provider of vehicle fleet location-based services (LBS) and telematics technology, announces that the Province of Manitoba's Vehicle and Equipment Management Agency (VEMA), has begun its roll-out of WebTech Wireless' InterFleet® solution for Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) on over 170 vehicles (primarily ambulances). The VEMA contract was awarded in October 2009, but the bulk of installations are to be completed over the coming weeks. The contract is valued at over $300,000 including one year of ASP service. The InterFleet® ERV solution is used by more than fifty organizations across North America.

WebTech Wireless' InterFleet® solution provides ambulance dispatchers with highly accurate, real-time information and mapping of the location of each of their ambulances and the ability to quickly dispatch the closest one to the location of an emergency call. InterFleet® integrates with existing onboard ambulance systems to share data with onboard laptops and terminals used by ambulance paramedics as well as patient care reporting systems, such as iMEDIC EMS being used by many Ontario jurisdictions. InterFleet® also allows for highly customizable location reporting frequency (as often as every five seconds), including event notification, such as when an ambulance uses its sirens.

Owen Moore, COO at WebTech Wireless said, "We're pleased to see this implementation with VEMA moving forward. With our extensive experience in Ontario and other locations, we're confident InterFleet® will meet and exceed all of the Province of Manitoba's ERV requirements."

"ERV fleets are perhaps the most challenging and without doubt the most customer critical applications of our InterFleet® solution, and I'm very pleased with the progress we've made with customers such as VEMA," said WebTech Wireless' President and CEO, Scott Edmonds.

VEMA is the sole provider of ambulances to the Province of Manitoba's Dept. of Health and Healthy Living. It in-turn assigns ambulances for use by Manitoba's Regional Health Authorities, including rural and northern medical services. VEMA administrates a large variety of vehicles that deliver government services including light and heavy-duty maintenance fleets.

This latest InterFleet® implementation underscores WebTech Wireless' commitment to providing custom made solutions for a variety of organizations that depend on efficient and effective mobile resource management.
