Websense Aligns Global Channel Sales, Announces New Leadership

In New Role of Vice President Worldwide Channel Sales, Matt Hynes to Focus on Driving Global Channel Sales and Enabling Partners to Build Profitable Practices Around Websense Solutions

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - February 5, 2010) - Websense, Inc. (NASDAQ: WBSN), a global leader in integrated Web, data and email security solutions, today is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Hynes to the newly created role of Vice President Worldwide Channel Sales, effective immediately.

As Vice President Worldwide Channel Sales, Matt reports to Didier Guibal and is responsible for leading and growing the Websense global channel sales efforts which include value-added resellers (VARs), direct marketers and federal resellers. In 2009, the Websense channel sales team successfully grew its incremental business with North America channel partners by more than 50 percent and saw record growth in excess of 170 percent among its top performing channel partners.

Matt brings more than 20 years of sales experience and 12 years of channel expertise as a senior executive at publicly traded IT companies, including security and enterprise software providers McAfee, Sun Microsystems and ArcSight, where he was most recently vice president of worldwide channel sales.
