Welcome Hall Mission Inaugurates Its Multiservice Centre

New facilities for Families, Children and Men in Need of the Greater Montreal Area Thursday April 24, 2008, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm At Welcome Hall Mission Multiservice Centre 4755 D Acorn Street (corner of De Courcelle), Montreal

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - April 24, 2008) - Mr. Cyril Morgan, Executive Director of Welcome Hall Mission, and Mr. Anthony Calvillo, quarterback for the Montreal Alouettes who has been actively involved with Welcome Hall Mission for many years, cordially invite you to the official inauguration of Welcome Hall Mission's 94,000 sq. ft. Multiservice Centre.

Well known as one of the three large shelters for the homeless in Montreal, Welcome Hall Mission is now a key player in the fight against poverty in partnership with community organizations, corporations and various levels government. It is indeed thanks to these partnerships that the Mission has been able to acquire and renovate the Multiservice Centre that today houses seven of its nine departments, including the Residences Bon Accueil, a rehabilitation centre for men suffering from various dependencies.

Mrs. Marie-Josee Guerette, Assistant Deputy Minister, Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services, and Mrs. Marie-Andree Beaudoin, Mayor of Ahunstic-Cartierville, and responsible for Social and Community Development as part of Montreal's Executive Committee, will address the issue of poverty and homelessness in Montreal.

Welcome Hall Mission will take this opportunity to unveil its new image. An official tour of the premises including the inauguration of the "Hockey for the Homeless"Gym will complete the evening's program.
