WestJet Announces Fall Schedule Enhancements

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - May 31, 2006) - WestJet (TSX:WJA) today announced several schedule enhancements, with increased frequencies between cities across Canada and the United States.

With effective dates beginning September 7 through to October 29, 2006, WestJet will increase the number of departures between cities in its existing route network as follows:

- Service between Calgary and Fort McMurray increases to two non-stop flights per day

- Service between Calgary and Las Vegas increases to one non-stop flight per day

- Service between Vancouver and Las Vegas increases to two non-stop flights per week

- Service between Vancouver and Maui increases to one non-stop flight per day

- Service between Vancouver and Honolulu increases to one non-stop flight per day

Sean Durfy, WestJet's Executive Vice-President of Marketing and Sales, commented today: "We are pleased to respond to our guests' requests for more non-stop flights across our Canadian and transborder network. These additions will serve both business travellers and those enjoying vacations on Canada's most modern and comfortable fleet. We're also expanding our successful service to Hawaii through the fall, with seven weekly flights to Maui and Honolulu from Vancouver.
