Westcore Announces Permit Issuance Re Manitoba Properties

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 24, 2008) - WESTCORE ENERGY LTD. (TSX VENTURE:WTR.P) (the "Corporation" or "Westcore"), a capital pool company, is pleased to announce that Quarry Exploration Permit No. QP-179 has been granted in respect of the Manitoba portion of the properties that are the subject of its previously announced Qualifying Transaction pursuant to which it has agreed to acquire all rights, title and interests in certain Saskatchewan coal permits and certain Crown coal rights in the Province of Manitoba (such properties are collectively referred to as the "Assets"). The total area under the foregoing Permit is 18,880 hectares. The Permit is for a period of three years and authorizes the exploration of coal on the properties in respect of which it applies. This Permit has been granted to Jon MacNeill, who holds it in trust for the vendors of the Assets.
