Western Troy: Annual Shareholder Meeting Held

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - May 16, 2006) - Western Troy Capital Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:WRY) held its Annual Shareholder Meeting on May 11, 2006. Among other actions taken, the shareholders approved:

1) A reduction of the Board of Directors from 6 to 5.

2) The empowerment of the Board of Directors to fix the number of directors.

3) The election of Stanley Mourin, Wayne Holmstead, Milton Klyman, Ed Thompson, and Steve Vaughan, as directors.

4) The appointment of McCarney Greenwood, LLP, Chartered Accountants, as auditors.

5) The Stock Option Plan (copies of which were sent to all shareholders).

6) The extension of 570,000 warrants ($0.60). Such warrants were to expire June 13, 2006, but were extended to December 13, 2006.

As previously announced on April 25, 2006, the company has staked or acquired 128 additional claims at its MacLeod Lake molybdenum/copper project in Northern Quebec. Western Troy staked 78 claims and it acquired 50 claims from Mr. Harvey Eisen, an unrelated party. Rights to the 50 claims acquired from Mr. Eisen were paid for with 32,000 shares of Western Troy common stock. Final completion of the acquisition of all of the claims and payment of the 32,000 shares is subject to regulatory approval.
