WhitePages.com Expands Management Team

Former Executives From Amazon.com and Microsoft Lead Engineering and Marketing Efforts

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - November 14, 2007) - WhitePages.com, the popular website for searching, finding and connecting with people, today announced it has expanded its management team by adding two new executives. Scott Ruthfield, formerly of Amazon.com, is the new vice president of engineering and technology, and John Lusk, formerly of Microsoft, has been appointed the company's first vice president of marketing. They bring more than 25 years' experience at leading technology companies and will be instrumental in enabling WhitePages.com to build on its position as the industry's most comprehensive consumer people search application.

Scott Ruthfield has spent more than a decade managing 24x7 operations and technical teams. As vice president of engineering at WhitePages.com, he is responsible for the company's technical strategy, software development, quality assurance, and internal and external technical operations. He manages a 50-person technical staff and reports to founder and CEO Alex Algard.

Prior to WhitePages.com, Ruthfield spent three years at Amazon.com, where he led the company's online community content initiatives, including customer reviews. He was additionally responsible for Amazon.com's direct traffic initiatives, including the automated email systems that distributed more than five billion e-mails each year.

With 15 years' experience in brand creation and marketing, John Lusk has a proven track record in developing integrated consumer marketing programs, driving online traffic and monetizing users. He is responsible for WhitePages.com's brand development; developing integrated advertising, marketing and public relations programs; and consumer acquisition and research. He reports to Max Bardon, president and COO.

Before WhitePages.com, he spent four years at Microsoft, where he managed the company's mid-market customer acquisition efforts and, most recently, ran marketing for the Windows Live Messenger product. In 2002, Lusk wrote the best-selling book "The MouseDriver Chronicles," which is required reading at more than 100 MBA programs worldwide. An accomplished public speaker, he has presented to product marketing and entrepreneurship classes at leading universities, including Harvard, Stanford, UCLA, Columbia and Cornell.
