WiMAX Forum Adds Two Executive Team Members; Establishes San Diego Office

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - April 20, 2010) - The WiMAX Forum today announced the appointment of Frank Farjood to the office of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Oksana Davis to the office of General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, both of whom will be located in the newly established San Diego office which will also serve as a location for other WiMAX Forum team members.

A telecom industry veteran, Mr. Farjood will oversee all day-to-day operational, tactical and strategic objectives for the WiMAX Forum. Prior to the WiMAX Forum, Mr. Farjood served as the vice president of global professional services at Nortel Networks. He also spent 13 years with Lucent Technologies, managing large, wireless system deployments. Mr. Farjood received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Iowa State University.

The WiMAX Forum also welcomes Oksana Davis, who will serve as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Ms. Davis will advise the Board of Directors and officers of the WiMAX Forum on its legal and corporate matters. Prior to joining the WiMAX Forum, Ms. Davis practiced in the business, technology, and corporate law group with Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP, a full service San Diego law firm. Ms. Davis received her Specialist's Diploma with Honors in Jurisprudence (equivalent to a Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude, in the United States) from the National Academy of Law of Ukraine and her LL.M. degree in Comparative Law, Cum Laude, from California Western School of Law.
