Widemile Wins Three Communicator Awards for Creative Excellence

Leading International Awards Program Recognizes Widemile's Creative Team for Landing Page, Microsite, and Rich Media Work

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - August 5, 2008) - Today at the ad:tech Chicago industry conference, Widemile, an emerging leader in multivariate testing and landing page optimization, announced that its creative services arm has received three prestigious Silver Communicator Awards from the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA). The Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. Over 9000 entries were received for the competition. Widemile was recognized in the Interactive Category for its work supporting the Microsoft Office® 2007 retail program, its work on the Microsoft Windows Vista® launch, and for its landing page optimization work for Widemile provides creative services to support its agency partners and interactive advertising clients. The three winning campaigns include:

1. "They Came for Windows Vista," an online sales training program for Windows Vista retailers, including Best Buy, Comp USA, Office Depot, and Staples. The program included a website, six rich media episodes, and over 100 emails. All creative were localized into German, Spanish, Japanese, and French as well for global consistency and leverage on marketing investments. In addition, the site was the first to present the new Vista packaging designs for the various versions of the product, and has received over 100,000 views so far in the campaign. View.

2. Customer acquisition, design and landing page optimization for, an online provider of collaborative task management software. The top five landing pages linked to search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns were targeted for optimization to drive maximum revenue. Multiple versions of offer, image, and copy were tested with actual users to determine the best-performing combination of page elements. After creative redesign and optimization, was able to more than double its SEM spending efficiency, capturing over twice as many customers for the same ad spend. View.

3. "Microsoft Office 2007 for Retailers," an online sales training program for retailers, including Best Buy, Comp USA, Office Depot, and Staples. The instructional rich media pieces were part of a program designed to educate resellers on the various versions of the product and targeted customers. Widemile's award-winning creative team used inventive animation and characters to educate and entertain retailers on the right product for different customer segments, enabling a successful Microsoft Office 2007 launch.
