Wind Point Partners Acquires Santa Maria Foods

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 30, 2007) - Wind Point Partners has acquired Santa Maria Foods in partnership with Mr. Fred Jaques, an accomplished industry executive, who assumed the role of CEO.

Santa Maria Foods, based in Toronto, is Canada's largest manufacturer, marketer and distributor of Italian-style deli meats, primarily under the San Daniele and Mastro brands. Santa Maria Foods is also a leading provider of imported Italian specialty foods such as premium coffee, water and olive oil.

Fred Jaques was most recently President of Dare Foods, a private, family-owned food manufacturing company. Prior to Dare Foods, Fred was President of Interbrew/Labatt North America. Prior to his three years at Interbrew, Fred spent 13 years at the Kellogg Company, where he held several senior positions, including President, Kellogg Canada and General Manager-Cereal, Kellogg USA.
