Windsor to "Jump Up" for Public Child Care

Coalition of child care supporters to host free concert this Sunday

WINDSOR, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 12, 2009) - The City of Windsor will 'Jump Up' for public child care this Sunday, November 15, with a free concert at the CAW Student Centre's Ambassador Room at the University of Windsor from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The free community concert called 'Jump Up For Public Child Care' is a project of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario, the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care (OCBCC) and the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL).

This free concert is family-friendly and non-partisan. It will feature children's musician and Juno Award nominee Chris McKhool, and local children's author Shelley Awad, author of The Greenhouse Kids: Dan Delion's Secret. There will be free colouring books and crayons for the kids.

get involved to ensure every child in Ontario who needs affordable,
accessible early learning and care has access to it
