CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - May 4, 2010) - Reported by Annette Kreuger, Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- For the next few days, Chicago is the place to be for everything BIO. The world's largest biotechnology conference --BIO 2010-- started Monday at McCormick Place in Chicago and runs through May 6, 2010. This annual event is sponsored by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) (Washington, D.C.). The estimated 14,000 attendees will include scientists, industry leaders and government officials from 48 states and 60 countries. One-third of the nearly 1,800 exhibitors filling the 150,000-square-foot conference hall are from outside of the United States, with nine U.S. governors joining numerous domestic and international public officials. Though the languages will be varied, all will speak "bio."
