Pernod Ricard Nordic Standardizes BI on WebFOCUS Platform

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - November 24, 2009) - Having recently completed the acquisition of Sweden's Vin & Spirit, premium spirits and wine company Pernod Ricard Nordic, found it was running three disparate in-house business intelligence (BI) tools. Challenged to lower costs and provide users with a consistent view of critical business information, the company chose independent BI leader Information Builders to standardize BI across the Nordics on the WebFOCUS platform. Information Builders beat out two other prominent BI vendors in a highly competitive review process.

In addition to standardizing on the latest version of WebFOCUS, Pernod Ricard Nordic will rely on Information Builders Active Reports for a portable BI platform, delivering interactive analytic applications to 85 users. The company will also roll out its intuitive Information Builders ad hoc reporting solution, InfoAssist, to 20 key users.

The company has a presence in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. The company's financial controllers in each country need to access multiple data sources to build financial reports to help manage the business. Technology-wise, Pernod Ricard was pleased that the solution provided all the functionality it needed, in particular, the ability to drill in whatever direction it wants, which allows users to break out of a normal hierarchy.
