Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Selects QHR's EMR for Regional Clinics

QHR Strengthens Canadian EMR Leadership Position

KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 23, 2010) - QHR Technologies Inc. (TSX VENTURE:QHR) ("QHR" or the "Company), a leading Canadian healthcare technology provider, announces that its EMR division (Electronic Medical Records), Optimed Software Corporation (Optimed) has entered into a contract with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA). The initial three year contract calls for WRHA's use of Optimed's Accuro® EMR software and related services for up to 315 physicians and 1,400 clinical users within the WRHA's 30 regionally operated clinics.

"On June 1, 2009, Optimed became the first Approved EMR Vendor to meet all Manitoba e-Health core requirements," said Fred Chapman, Optimed's General Manager. "Our agreement with the WRHA will help the region address the needs of all its physicians providing care in the community. Our solution allows physicians increased productivity with respect to dispensing their medical counsel while spending less time on administration – a key consideration."

Accuro® EMR is an industry leading clinic management software solution for physicians. Its modules manage key functions such as patient scheduling, billing (government, WCB, private and third party), electronic medical records (EMR), letters (including direct faxing), prescriptions, requisitions and other electronic forms, as well as electronic lab and diagnostic imaging results.

"Since becoming the first EMR vendor to meet Manitoba eHealth's qualifications, QHR has grown its EMR business in Manitoba and has expanded its Winnipeg-based workforce. QHR has now contracted over 700 of Manitoba's 2,400 physicians. The WRHA agreement, one of the largest of its kind in Canada, makes QHR the leading EMR provider in Manitoba," said Al Hildebrandt, QHR's Chief Executive Officer and President. "QHR's EMS division is already the largest supplier of payroll systems for Manitoba's healthcare employees, and provides financial systems to the majority of healthcare sites and regions in the province".

WRHA is one of Canada's largest regional health authorities, with acute care hospitals, long term care facilities and the 30 regional clinics. The WRHA prides itself on being one of Canada's most forward thinking health authorities, assisting its providers and staff to deliver world-class healthcare solutions. Currently, the Accuro® EMR solution is implemented at many physicians offices across Manitoba, along with community clinics in the region.

Nationally, QHR's EMR division has over 3,500 physicians using its products and services, including more than 2,200 on EMR. According to CanadianEMR.ca, Accuro® EMR is the highest ranked national EMR in Canada based on independent physician reviews (see www.CanadianEMR.ca).
