Wireless Matrix Appoints Ian Bonner to Board to Directors

Software Industry Executive Named Director and Chairman of Audit Committee

RESTON, VIRGINIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 23, 2008) - Wireless Matrix Corporation (TSX:WRX) today announced that Ian Bonner, former President and CEO of Inxight Software, recently sold to Business Objects, has joined the company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Bonner will serve as a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee for the board of Wireless Matrix. As Wireless Matrix continues its rapid evolution into a leading software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider for enterprise fleets, Mr. Bonner's guidance, experience and expertise will benefit management in the growth and continued success of this strategy.

In a career spanning over 27 years, Mr. Bonner has built a strong reputation for driving corporate value and operational growth. At Inxight Software, he led the company to prominence as the leading provider of data search, extraction and visualization applications. Over 350 customers in global enterprise and government currently utilize Inxight's software in their daily operations.

As president and CEO of Sistina Software, he expanded the company and partnered with software and hardware vendors to maximize the value of the company's storage infrastructure product. Prior to that, he successfully transformed Terraspring Software from a service provider to a software vendor as president and CEO.

Prior to his role at Sistina Software, Mr. Bonner executed global initiatives as vice president of sales and marketing for Partner Programs at IBM, where he had responsibilities directing the entire IBM hardware, software and service business. Mr. Bonner spent almost a decade with IBM.

Mr. Bonner has also served as executive chairman of the board for Commtouch Software Ltd, and as a director on the boards of BakBone Software Incorporated, Viacore, Inc., and Island Pacific, Inc. He received a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, and a graduate diploma in marketing management from the University of South Africa.
