Wireless Matrix Appoints Michael Jakab as Vice President of Sales and Marketing

RESTON, VIRGINIA--(CCNMatthews - May 23, 2006) - Wireless Matrix Corporation (TSX:WRX) today announced the appointment of Michael Jakab as the company's new Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

A veteran of the supply chain industry. Michael brings 20 years of solution selling and business leadership experience to the Wireless Matrix team. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Routing and Scheduling solutions for Descartes Systems Group, a software and network provider of real-time transportation systems with wireless data integration for private fleets and carriers. While at Descartes Michael launched several new products within the business unit including mobile client applications and vehicle tracking, resulting in the unit's year over year revenue growth. Prior to Descartes Michael held P&L responsibility for transportation planning systems at The SABRE Group and was National Sales Manager for UPS Logistics. Michael's background also includes experience with early stage technology companies, most recently Synchris, where he served on the management team responsible for launching a new software product targeting Federal contractors.
