"Wireless and Mobile Marketing 101: Insights on Reaching 4 Billion Mobile Customers by 2011"; American Marketing Association to Host Pierre Barbeau, CEO, Moblico, at Fort Worth Luncheon

FORT WORTH, TX--(Marketwire - January 10, 2008) - The Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) announces that on Thursday, January 24 from 11:30AM to 1:30PM, it will host a luncheon program featuring Mr. Pierre Barbeau, CEO, Moblico, at the Fort Worth Club.

There are more mobile phones than televisions in the world today and it's expected there will be more than 4 billion subscribers worldwide by 2011. That is just 36 months away and yet how many businesses have begun to consider, let alone develop, a mobile strategy? It's a shift of epic proportions in terms of media and its impact on the traditional marketing mix will be profound.

Mr. Barbeau, an international expert on mobile marketing and emerging technologies, will start with the basics and outline how marketing and advertising plans will be impacted in the future. He will explain "mobile marketing" in the context of marketing services that will help direct and brand marketers integrate mobility with traditional media. This includes eMail, SMS, Premium SMS, MMS, Picture Contests, Fax, Bluetooth, Mobile Coupon, QR Codes, Watermarking, etc.

Additionally, he will examine questions such as:

-- Who are mobile data users?

-- What do mobile data users do with their phones?

-- What is the interest of mobile data users for mobile marketing and advertising?

-- Who are the key players in the mobile value chain?

-- What are mobile advertising and marketing business models?

-- What does mobile technology support today and tomorrow?

-- How will mobile impact existing channel strategies?

Pierre Barbeau is an entrepreneur, an inventor and a partner at Moblico, a consultative agency in mobile marketing, visual communications, product design and usability. Prior to founding Moblico, he conceptualized and led the creation of Sprint Picture Mail as General Manager of Visual Communication at Sprint Corporation. As a mobile imaging pioneer, he led the launch of the first camera phones, mobile imaging services, and has over 30 patents pending.

Early reservations are strongly encouraged and run through Wednesday, January 23 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
