Work Resumes at E.ON's Datteln Coal-Fired Plant, an Industrial Info News Alert

GALWAY, IRELAND--(Marketwire - December 2, 2009) - Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) -- German energy company E.ON AG (OTC:EONGY) (Dusseldorf, Germany) has been cleared to restart work on the company's troubled Datteln coal-fired plant after a stoppage of more than two months. In September, E.ON was forced to stop work on the disputed 1,050-megawatt (MW) power plant in northern Germany after the Higher Administrative Court in Munster refused to allow E.ON to use two partial construction permits that had been granted earlier.
