XA Produces "In the Know" Press Conference Hosted by InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Wednesday, October 11, 2006

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 11, 2006 -- XA, Inc. (XA) (OTCBB: XAIN), a major national event marketing firm that serves many Fortune 500 companies, reports that it has been selected by InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and Weber Shandwick Worldwide, the PR Agency of record, as the event marketing agency for their upcoming "In the Know" brand initiative launch Press Reception and luncheon. The event announcing innovative global programs and new unique property openings will be held the afternoon of October 11th at the Astor Ballroom at InterContinental The Barclay New York.

As the production company, XA will design, develop and manage all required elements of the event to create a highly stylized and integrated program that will transform the Astor Ballroom into a sophisticated gallery style environment containing five distinctively visual vignettes entitled: "Growth," "Innovation," "Heritage," "Discover" and "Authentic."

The vignettes will depict cultures from all over the world to showcase the many "In the Know" dimensions of the global InterContinental Hotels & Resorts' brand. This includes but is not limited to Dubai, Beijing, Prague, French Polynesia, Manila, Boston and London.

The event concept reflects InterContinental's passion for the worldly traveler, as well as the brand's true desire to immerse its guests in authentic and local destination experiences. For travelers in search of unique experiences wherever their travels may lead them, InterContinental is the brand for a luxurious, enriching experience.

Aston Martin Racing (AMR), an InterContinental partner, will prominently feature the 009 Aston Martin DBR9 race car in a custom built racing pit at the entrance of the InterContinental The Barclay New York on 48th Street and Lexington Avenue. Wowing patrons will have the opportunity to take photos and check out the car that took first place at the 1,000-mile Petit Le Mans in Atlanta, Ga. on Oct. 1.

Joe Wagner, CEO of XA, states, "We are thrilled to have a relationship with a brand such as InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. It is our pleasure to execute our event management skills, as well as design and production capabilities to support the 'In the Know' initiative announcement."
