XBRL Canada Hosts Free Event November 5th

IROs, Financial Communicators Invited to Attend Free, One-Day Session

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 15, 2009) - A free, one-day event will be held in Toronto on November 5, 2009 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to update professionals impacted by XBRL. Critical issues covered include the United States' Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Interactive Data Program, IFRS Convergence, the Canadian XBRL filing environment as well as an update regarding XBRL internationally. Equally valuable is a showcase of XBRL solution providers that allow attendees to view, understand and evaluate solutions to their XBRL challenges.

In the next three years, all companies that report to the SEC will be required to use XBRL when reporting their financial statements, including those based in Canada. If you represent a company that is required to file in this period, come join us to find out critical information about the SEC's program and how you can begin filing in XBRL.
