XING Brings Professional Profiles to the Next Level

The international business networking platform XING ( continues to extend global networking with a new type of member profile that unifies motivations for networking. Starting next weekend, XING members will be able to include more personal and professional information in their profiles, all presented on a single page. Uniquely, XING's new profiles also allow users to list other online profiles they may have and provide direct links to these profiles. These include for instance: Amazon, eBay, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr,,, Dopplr, Photobucket and Digg. In this way, XING can now be used to promote the many virtual identities that a XING member might have. XING's new "edit in place" technology will also allow XING members to make changes to one or many data fields without leaving the main profile page. Furthermore, a new motivations field allows XING members to indicate why they use the platform, making it easier for members to find others they are searching for. Members can approach each other in a more targeted manner, and discussions can be linked to specific information contained in their profiles.

New profile fields will also allow members to indicate the type of company they work for as well as the company size and position held, including projects and areas of responsibility for both past and present companies. The new profile also includes fields where awards and additional qualifications can be entered.
