Xsigo Systems Wins Infoplex, Australia's Leading IT Managed Service Provider

Infoplex Buys Xsigo's Virtual I/O Technology to Cut Data Center Costs and Support Its Growing Application Hosting Business

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - November 12, 2007) - Xsigo Systems, Inc., the technology leader in data center I/O virtualization, today announced a significant customer win. Infoplex Pty Ltd., a leading IT Managed Service Provider based in Australia, has purchased six Xsigo VP 780 I/O Directors that will be installed and operational in its Sydney and Melbourne data centers by the end of the year.

As one of Australia's fastest growing and most dynamic IT Managed Service Providers, Infoplex will use Xsigo's I/O Directors to consolidate server connectivity in their data centers, resulting in improved operational efficiencies and cost savings. As well, Xsigo's solution will promote new levels of application performance and agility for customers that host their business-critical applications with Infoplex. Future plans include Xsigo deployments at Infoplex data centers in Hong Kong and Brisbane.

"Xsigo allows us to be more efficient and responsive at the same time," said Sean Kaye, Infoplex's Managing Director. "Because we operate data centers across two continents, our objective is to remotely manage all aspects of operation, including connectivity. With Xsigo's I/O virtualization technology, we can reduce cabling by 70%, eliminate re-wiring, and provision servers in half the time."

Both the company and the Xsigo I/O Director were officially launched at VMworld on September 10th of this year. It is estimated that large data centers can lower their server-related operational expenses by up to 80%, cut capital costs by 50%, and use 70% less cabling by using Xsigo's technology. With the I/O Director, IT managers can provision I/O resources on-the-fly without disrupting network and storage configurations, and without physically entering the data center. Xsigo consolidates the I/O infrastructure and replaces physical network and storage interfaces (NICs and HBAs) with virtual resources that are remotely manageable from a single console. Unlike alternative approaches, the Xsigo I/O Director offers reduced capital costs, greater management simplicity, and support for open standards.

Xsigo Systems is also pleased to announce today that Infoplex has become a reseller of the Xsigo I/O Director family of products, effective immediately. Infoplex will sell Xsigo products directly to managed service providers and enterprise business customers throughout the Australia region.

"We are excited to add Infoplex to our rapidly expanding list of customers," said Steven Haley, president and COO of Xsigo. "Our solution is in growing demand as more companies recognize the efficiency, security, and agility benefits that virtual I/O delivers. Additionally, by having Infoplex as a reseller in Australia, we can support this region's growing efforts to complete the eco-system for fully virtualized data centers."

"The APAC region represents the fastest growing market for virtualization technologies," said Charlie Will, Xsigo's vice president of international sales. "At Xsigo, we're demonstrating our commitment to the region by forming strategic relationships with key partners such as Infoplex and by expanding our local presence in Australia, Japan, and China, with more countries soon to follow."
