Yeast Culture Manufacturer Vi-COR® Launches Soluble Concentrated Celmanax®

MASON CITY, IA--(Marketwire - April 16, 2010) - Vi-COR®, a manufacturer of specialized yeast culture and fermentation products for swine, poultry and dairy feed, now offers a revolutionary development in yeast culture technology. Vi-COR has produced the first-ever soluble, ultra concentrated combination yeast product. This ultra concentrated product is a combination of yeast components, yeast culture, yeast extract and hydrolyzed yeast processed and dried without a carrier. The new process yields a product that is nine times more concentrated than the company's most popular product, Celmanax® Dry. This unique blend provides the fermentation of a specific media and the enzymatic hydrolysis of yeast cell wall, which delivers multiple benefits to all classes of livestock.

"Celmanax SCP is a unique product with no carrier, which eliminates any concerns of GMO issues," says Jodi Ames, Vi-COR VP/director of marketing. "This will be beneficial to our customers and distributors when mixing in their feed." Celmanax SCP offers the same benefits as the dry and liquid product in a soluble concentrated dry powder. Research test results have proven the three concentrations will benefit the end user the same, time after time, with consistent, quality results. "It will appeal to dairies who want to add Celmanax SCP to their milk replacer or to diets that desire higher concentration inputs," explains Ames. "It will also appeal to the poultry industry, who will add it to their watering systems." Its concentrated form means Celmanax SCP will require less storage space and incur lower shipping costs.

According to Mark Holt, Vi-COR president, offering an ultra concentrated version of Celmanax further enhances an already beneficial product. Celmanax, made from all-natural yeast components and enzymes, guarantees a specific level of metabolites, which provides consistent livestock performance. The three-in-one product improves palatability and feed intake and eliminates the need to buy, store and mix several feed ingredients. Celmanax's performance is backed by university research and on-farm results.

Vi-COR has been in the livestock feed business for nearly 50 years. The company entered the yeast industry in 1999 and grew 30 percent annually during its first decade. For more information on Vi-COR, visit
