Yorbeau Initiates 2010 Drilling Program With Two Drill Rigs

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 21, 2010) - Yorbeau Resources Inc. (TSX:YRB.A) ("Yorbeau") is pleased to announce that it has initiated its 2010 drilling program with two drill rigs. During 2009, drilling indicated that there are two target zones in the Augmitto-Astoria corridor. The first is the Piche Group that yielded high grades of gold over widths of several metres during the 2008 drilling program. The second target zone is the "footwall zone" that occurs at or near the basal contact of the Piche Group with underlying sediments. The footwall zone is of significant importance at the Astoria mine and has been intersected in recent drilling by Yorbeau in the Lake Gamble and Cinderella areas, most notably in drill hole 09-CI-519.

Assay results from the 2009 drilling at Lake Gamble are pending and will be released when all results are returned from the assay lab.

One rig is currently drilling at the Lake Gamble area with a planned 10-hole program to explore the 600-metre-wide gap between the Lake Gamble discovery and the Astoria mine. These holes will target both the Piche and footwall zones with the objective of demonstrating continuity of gold mineralization between the Lake Gamble area and the Astoria mine.

The second rig will focus on the Cinderella area and will first drill wedge cuts of drill hole 09-CI-519 (see press release of September 23, 2009) that cut 74.67 g/t gold over 10.35 metres in the footwall zone plus 10.1 g/t gold over 5 metres in the Piche Group. Three wedge holes are planned to penetrate the footwall zone at distances of 20-30 meters from the 519 intercept, which will allow determination of the orientation of the gold zone here and also to test lateral continuity of the high-grade zone. This drill rig will then re-enter hole 520, also in the Cinderella area (below and 200 m deeper that 519), which was lost in a fault zone prior to reaching the target footwall zone, with the objective of crossing the fault and reaching the footwall zone. Additional drilling will test the 300-metre-wide undrilled area between holes 09-CI-519 and 08-CI-467 which yielded 41.6 g/t Au over 2.5 m core length as well as the 400-metre-wide undrilled area between 09-CI-519 and 06-S-413 which yielded 43.5 g/t Au over 4.95 m core length.

Yorbeau plans to drill about 17,000 metres of NQ core in the Augmitto-Astoria corridor during the first six months of 2010.
