YouTube Announces Most Watched Videos of 2009

The Most-Watched Videos and Fastest-Rising Search Terms on YouTube Reveal the Moments That Entertained and Connected the World in 2009

SAN BRUNO, CA--(Marketwire - December 16, 2009) - Today YouTube™, the world's largest online video community, announced its first official Most Watched lists, a look at 2009 through the videos people were watching and searching for on YouTube.

In addition to compiling the YouTube Most Watched lists, YouTube also examined the billions of queries that people typed into YouTube search in 2009 to identify some of the fastest-rising search terms for each month. Like Google Zeitgeist, these lists reveal the interests, issues, and entertainment that connected the world throughout the year.
