Yves de Chaisemartin appointed President of Altran's Management Board

PARIS -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 25, 2006 -- Yves de Chaisemartin has been appointed president of the management board of the Altran group by the supervisory board on September 24th 2006, replacing Christophe Aulnette who chose to leave the company following personal disagreements.

Eric Albrand, Chief Financial Officer, and François-Xavier Floren, Chief Operating Officer, have been confirmed in their functions as members of the management board.

Yves de Chaisemartin has valued Christophe Aulnette's initiatives who launched a deep transformation plan for the group to adapt to today's and tomorrow's market conditions. The Altran 2008 plan will be pursued : « The issues encountered in France have impacted the operational margin for the first semester 2006, which will stand at the low end of the bracket announced last August ; they make this transformation plan all the more necessary.»

About Yves de Chaisemartin

Yves de Chaisemartin, 58, spent the main part of his career with the Robert Hersant communication group, now known as Socpresse. He served as Deputy Chief Executive in 1986, and went on to become Chief Executive, then Chairman and Chief Executive and, lastly, Chairman of the Management Board, a position which he held until 30 September 2004. During the same period, he also served as Chairman of the Management Board of Le Figaro, Chairman and Chief Executive of France-Soir and Chief Executive of La Cinq, and had responsibility for the European subsidiaries (in Spain, Belgium, Poland, the Czech Republic, etc.).

A law graduate, Yves de Chaisemartin worked as a lawyer from 1972 to 1986. He has also been Chairman of the Parisian press syndicate (Syndicat de la Presse Parisienne) and served on the board of the regional press syndicate (Syndicat de la Presse Régionale) and was the Chairman of the French press distribution watchdog (Conseil Supérieur des Messageries de Presse).Today, as well as being a director of the French national museums grouping (Réunion des Musées Nationaux), he is an acting director of Groupe Rossel (which publishes the Belgian newspaper Le Soir) and a director of the Est Républicain newspaper in Nancy.

Yves de Chaisemartin is married with four children and enjoys sailing and riding. He is an Officier de la Légion d'Honneur.
