ZEEP Australia Joins as a Foundation Member of the Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - June 17, 2009) - ZEEP (Zero Emission Energy Plants Ltd.) Australia is proud to be a foundation member of the Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute which is to focus on accelerating the worldwide development, deployment and implementation of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies. The Institute was officially launched today by the Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd.

ZEEP joins 85 bodies, including 16 national Governments as foundation members to drive global cooperation and information exchange on CCS projects and technologies. ZEEP looks forward to playing an active role in the Institute's activities and forums designed to support commercial scale CCS projects, with the goal of reducing carbon pollution.

"ZEEP's mission is to create clean, abundant energy from our most widely available, inexpensive resources. CCS is an important piece of the puzzle. The work that is being done at the GCCSI is not only important to ZEEP, and other energy producers, it is also important to everyone concerned with climate change."
