TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 5, 2009) - Tarek El-Khatib, Senior Partner of Zeidler Partnership Architects has been asked to be one of three speakers at the IFI General Assembly and World Interior Design Congress – Dubai, UAE – Panel Session, The Social Shopping Experience: Malls and Retail Design.

This session will discuss a number of issues affecting retail design including: the changing philosophy of shopping malls in the modern lifestyle, innovative retail design and current trends, the importance of anchor stores and their impact on the interior architecture of shopping malls and how does the interior designer account for the retail mall as a place for social interaction.

Mr. El-Khatib is delighted to be chosen as a speaker at this year's Congress because the Zeidler firm has a long history of innovative retail design that includes the Toronto Eaton Centre and Sherway Gardens in Toronto, Place Montreal Trust in Montreal and most recently the Almaty Shopping Mall in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
