Zeligsoft Adds Automatic Generation of Test Code for Improved User Productivity and Software Quality

Leading Software Defined Radio tool further automates development cycle

Zeligsoft™, a leading vendor of market-specific embedded software development tools today announced the addition of test code generation as part of their leading Software Communications Architecture (SCA) compliant Software Defined Radio (SDR) development tool solution.

Zeligsoft SCA Test features an SCA component test code generator providing automated testing of SCA components. SCA Test is fully integrated into Zeligsoft Component Enabler™ (CE) and delivered as a separately available add-in product. Whether the component code was generated by CE, produced externally by hand or generated from a 3rd party code generator, Zeligsoft SCA Test can be applied to significantly accelerate the test cycle. Zeligsoft SCA Test allows users to generate, compile and execute test code, and view test results directly from the toolset. The test code generated by SCA Test will enable the user to test all aspects of their components at the resource level including basic interfaces, instantiation, start/stop, runTest, and configure/query of properties. Of key significance, testing can begin with only a basic CORBA connection to the component, allowing testing to begin before a full platform with a live SCA Operating Environment (OE) is available. This benefits users by establishing high quality software early on in the development cycle.

The SCA component test code generator is the first in a series of test capabilities to be included in the unrivaled Zeligsoft SCA Test solution. Significant follow-on features will add subsystem testing support, as well as comprehensive support for scenario-based testing.

SCA Test will generate a full test harness, user extensible test code, and build environment appropriate for the desired target test environment, whether on host or actual platform. Results of each test will be displayed to the user in an HTML report for quick understanding of any issues identified by the tests.
