Zen Engineering Network Inc. Improves Network Performance With Arbinet's Optimized Internet Access

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 30, 2006 -- Zen Engineering Network Inc. continues to invest in its dedication to the medical field by signing an agreement to enhance network performance with Arbinet's patent-pending OptimizedIP(SM) high-performance Internet access solution. Arbinet will provide managed multihoming with leading global ISPs to enhance service between Zen and its clients. It is expected that this service will allow data exchange to occur up to 80% faster.

"Through the relationship established with Arbinet, we will have direct access to major IP backbones and broadband service providers. With this access, our clients will gain the benefit of being able to move their data at a higher transfer rate than ever before," said Zen's President G. Francisco Perin.

The new relationship will help Zen to better serve clients by allowing the addition and subtraction of peering and ISP supplier arrangements on the fly, to optimize network performance. This gives Zen the ability to increase the transmission speed of on demand digital medical images to archival files, providing safe, effective storage solutions to healthcare providers. This vital service, one of several that Zen currently offers to clients, will allow for the storage and retrieval of digital medical images up to 15 years. Off-site storage of these medical files assures disaster recovery back-up and an extra level of security along with the added benefit of an impressive long-term storage receptacle for data that may have otherwise overwhelmed the typical storage capacities of current healthcare provider systems.

Zen continues to expand and improve upon its offerings to the healthcare sector. The company also acts as a solution provider for companies such as IBM, Apple, Dell, Sun Microsystems and others.
