Zircon Computing and MGL Announce UltraCloud™ Solutions The Fastest Cloud Case Study Results at SIFMA Technology Expo at New York Hilton on June 22-24, 2010

Garrett Asset Management Runs 100,000 Models 75 Times Faster

WAYNE, NJ--(Marketwire - June 16, 2010) - Zircon Computing today announced, in conjunction with MGL, that it has developed and launched UltraCloud™ The Fastest Cloud. Zircon and MGL also released the results of a recent case study in which it produced performance improvements of 75 times over traditional approaches. UltraCloud will be featured at the upcoming SIFMA Technology Expo at the New York Hilton, June 22-24, 2010.

Garrett Asset Management has tested more than 100,000 models using the R programming language for statistical computing. "Zircon Computing and MGL are experts in the domain of providing increased performance and elastic scalability using a new and advanced UltraCloud. Without question they gave us game changing results. The heart of our competitive advantage is our ability to regularly backtest new and existing models. By delivering to us the capability to quickly evaluate models, it provides me and my investors with valuable information to remain competitive today," said Dr. Elliot Noma, CEO and Founder of Garrett Asset Management.

"Limitations in the R environment make it virtually impossible to improve performance, and there are no cloud-based solutions available today. The Zircon team quickly established an ultra high-performance solution in which models that originally took 3,120 minutes (52 hours) now execute in less than 41 minutes, delivering a performance improvement of 75 times. These results from the Garret models validate the Zircon value, in which we consistently deliver near-linear performance gains relative to the resources provided, and our clients tell us that in addition to ultra-fast performance results, we're an easy-to-use and easy-to-deploy solution," said Ron Guida, Director of Zircon Computing.

"Cloud computing offers the elastic computing capacity on demand required by the most compute-intense trading applications used by the investment community," added Dr. Dhiraj Pathak, Senior Vice President, MGL. "MGL UltraCloud Solutions provide our customers with fast, easy-to-deploy, secure access to cloud computing through a seamless integration of cloud infrastructure and Zircon ultra high-performance technology with a world-class operations framework. For our clients, it means the ability to create tremendous business advantages without building large, complex infrastructures."
