A Conway, AR Hotel's Commitment to Its Community

Fairfield Inn & Suites Conway to Participate in World Habitat Day

CONWAY, AR--(Marketwire - Oct 7, 2011) - The Fairfield Inn and Suites Conway, among hotels in Conway, Arkansas, is proud to announce that it will be participating with the renowned non-profit organization, Habitat for Humanity, throughout the month of October.

The Conway hotel worked side by side with the organization during World Habitat Day on October 3rd and will again work with the Organization at the local ReStore program, the Habitat's resale outlet that sells reusable and surplus building material, during the third week in October.

The World Habitat's 2011 Theme, Housing Cities after a Disaster, is meant to draw from experiences in Haiti, the Gulf Coast, the Indian Ocean tsunami, and the recent disaster in Faulkner County.

Habitat organizations in every U.S. state and 40 countries across the world will create their own World Habitat Day events throughout the month of October. World Habitat Day sparks a six week long special event series in honor of reaching a tremendous construction milestone- building 500,000 homes worldwide since 1976.

"Habitat needs time from others to help change lives," General Manager, Jake Honegger, said. "We are proud to provide any type of support we can."

Fairfield Inn & Suites Conway will be providing a delectable assortment of edible goodies such as pizza, chocolates, and muffins for volunteers in support of the Housing Cities after a Disaster program. Hotel management and staff will also spend an afternoon at the local Habitat ReStore cleaning and organizing the resale outlet.

The ReStore offers gently used home improvement goods such as furniture, accessories, and building materials. ReStore outlets across the U.S. accept donated goods which are resold to the general public. All proceeds are then donated to help local Habitat affiliates fund home construction.

This is the third year the Fairfield Inn & Suites will participate with Habitat with many more to come. "It's just a great way to give back and take part in community involvement," Honegger said.

Habitat for Humanity Faulkner County is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit ecumenical Christian organization. For more information on World Habitat Day events, please visit www.habitat.org.
