Terminal Expands Industry Leading Expedited, Regional and Local Pickup and Delivery Service


WEST CHESTER, PA--(Marketwired - Apr 25, 2016) - A. Duie Pyle (Pyle), the leader in asset and non-asset-based transportation and supply chain solutions in the Northeast, announces the opening of a new transportation service center in Newburgh, New York, about 60 miles north of New York City. The nearly 19,000 square foot facility will serve customers throughout the Hudson Valley including Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester counties. The Newburgh Service Center incorporates Pyle's proprietary mobile tracking system and dock management technology, offering real-time communication and tracking, and further strengthening Pyle's just-in-time delivery capabilities. LTL customers in the region will enjoy enhanced AM delivery and flexible pick up capabilities as a result of the investment in Pyle's extensive Northeast infrastructure.

Strategically located off I-84 and I-87, the service center is situated on a 6.88 acre campus with ample trailer parking. The facility includes 3,850 square feet of updated office space, a 1,650 square foot maintenance shop, and 40 dock doors for progressive loading and unloading. The site also offers 12,000 gallon on-site fuel storage and dispensing, an updated perimeter fencing and security system, on-site snow removal, and upgraded energy efficient interior and exterior LED lighting.

The site is creating 32 full-time positions and five part-time positions, including opportunities for truck drivers, dockworkers and support personnel.
