Renaissance Mumbai unveiled the much-awaited service at a red carpet launch event in the hotel on 21st February 2015 to provide guests an opportunity to experience R Chef at Home. The red carpet event also unveiled a video that gave a sneak peak of what to expect when you invite R Chef at Home to your home.

This initiative is the brainchild of executive chef Sandeep Pande and Director of operations, Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel, Nasir Sheikh. The concept of R Chef at Home has been designed and customized exclusively to meet the lifestyles of guests who like to enjoy the luxury of a 5-star setting in the comforts of their own homes. The concept involves our Executive Chef traveling to the homes of our élite guests, along with his team, to set up marvelous décor and prepare an exquisite meal paired with rare whiskeys, all designed around the preferences of the guests.

With over 12 years of rich experience in the food and beverage industry, showcasing his proficiency and ingenuity as a Chef, Sandeep Pande has had the opportunity to interact and familiarize himself with the lifestyles of many guests. Chef recognized a huge potential for a new concept 'R Chef at Home' for a section of his guests who would like to take luxury dining to a different level. On the occasion of the launch, Executive Chef Sandeep Pande, Renaissance Mumbai Convention Center Hotel said, "A huge segment of our guests are people who have reached a desired position in life, are status conscious and want the best that the life has to offer them. The cost for R Chef at Home is INR 1 million for 10 guests. Food can be created and customized as per guest preference. Renaissance will arrange everything, from ingredients to cutlery.
