A Green Building Grows in Brooklyn as Sustainable Development Comes to Park Slope

Bright City and Aguayo Introduce 5one5 Condominiums, 15 2- and 3-Bedroom Units Uniting Aesthetics and Environment

BROOKLYN, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 20, 2007 -- Bright City, a visionary all-woman development group, and exclusive broker Aguayo & Huebener, jointly announced the opening of sales for 5one5 Condominiums, a new development based on sustainable building practices and located on 13th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues in Brooklyn's Park Slope South neighborhood. The building, located at 515 5th Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn, will have its first Open House on Earth Day, Sunday, April 22 at 1pm.

Units range from 936 to 1138 square feet, with one and a half or two bathrooms, depending on the model selected. With family living very much in mind, there are nine two-bedroom and six three-bedroom homes. Twelve of the 15 units have balconies and many of the layouts include generously sized dining areas. Two-bedroom units range in price from $669,000 to $795,000. Three-bedrooms are priced from $825,000.

--  Energy Efficient Appliances: Including an Energy Star rated dishwater
    and an "Active Smart" refrigeration system that operationally is 40% more
    energy efficient to operate than the manufacturer's previous model, and

--  Bamboo Flooring: This renewable resource is harvested from managed
    forests and is manufactured with non-formaldehyde glues. [Sustainability

--  Linoleum Tile Flooring: Made from cork powder, this is material
    "rescued" from other manufacturing processes, and would normally be
    discarded.  It does not contain PVC as found in vinyl tile products.
    Instead, it contains linseed oil, which creates a natural barrier that

--  Fireslate Countertops: This material contains no VOCs (volatile
    organic compounds), is manufactured using 15 % recycled materials, and
    recycles over 50% of the waste from its manufacturing stream.

    particleboard that utilizes low-emission glues and resins.  Varnishes on
    cabinets do not include substances that damage the ozone layer, and are

--  Custom-made Bamboo Upper Kitchen Cabinets:  Bamboo is harvested from
    managed forests and is manufactured with non-formaldehyde glues.
