AAA New Mexico Fuel Gauge Report: Prices Edge Up Slightly at the Pump

ALBUQUERQUE, NM--(Marketwire - July 11, 2008) - New Mexico motorists will still have to reach deep into their pockets when hitting the road this weekend.

The AAA New Mexico Fuel Gauge Report shows that the statewide average is $4.038 per gallon for regular gas. On the average, New Mexico motorists pay among the lowest prices in the country; it ranks 15th for one of the lowest statewide average prices for regular gas. Nationally, the average price is $4.10.

Most New Mexico cities continue to see steady increases in the price of regular self-serve gasoline.

This time last year, New Mexico motorists were paying on average 83 cents less per gallon of gasoline.
