AAN to Hold Annual Convention in Miami July 11-13th

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - May 30, 2013) - The Association of Alternative Newsmedia will hold its annual convention July 11-13th at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami. Each year, the top publishers and editors in the alternative news industry get together to talk shop, and hear from companies that offer smart, practical solutions for thriving in this volatile media market.

The 3-day program will include workshops, networking opportunities, and talks, and will feature speakers including Matt Taibbi, a contributing editor for Rolling Stone and the author of five books, and Don Van Natta, Jr., an author, ESPN reporter, and two-time Pulitzer Prize winning former correspondent for The New York Times.

Program events will cover an array of topics, including social media, print media, news and ethics, marketing strategies, web content and design.

Making connections, exchanging ideas and showcasing innovative products is a big part of what this annual event is all about. Alternative publications have a strong relationship with their readers and are plugged in to their local communities like no one else. They are in a great position to be test-beds for new products, ideas and platforms.

There are several booth and table packages available for exhibitors and sponsors, but space is filling up quickly, as is a rare opportunity to get in front of key decision-makers in the alternative press.

So come join us, and don't miss your chance to rub elbows -- and have a drink -- with the most influential publications and personalities in the alternative news media.
