The Aberdeen Fall Summit Series began with the October 4 - 5 Sales-Driven Marketing Leadership Summit, during which the Industry Achievement Award for Marketing Excellence was presented to JDA Software Group, Inc., a leading provider of innovative supply chain management, merchandising and pricing excellence solutions worldwide. The award, accepted by Heather Loisel, Senior Vice President of Marketing at JDA Software Group, acknowledges an innovative marketing organization that has demonstrated Best-in-Class performance and excellence in aligning marketing and sales, increasing marketing's contribution to sales-forecasted pipeline, and positively impacting company revenue. In conjunction with Aberdeen's October 5 Product Development and Delivery Summit, the Industry Achievement Award in Product Development Excellence was presented to Medtronic, the global leader in medical technology, creating medical devices to alleviate pain, restore health and extend life. The award, accepted by Brian Urke, Vice President of CRDM Product Development at Medtronic, acknowledges an enterprise that most effectively combines strategy, process execution and supporting technology investments to drive product development, performance improvement and superior commercial success. On the first day of Aberdeen's October 12 - 13 Chief Service Officer Summit, the Industry Achievement Award of Excellence in Customer Service was presented to LifeLock, an industry leader in identity theft protection with a strong focus on educating consumers and working with law enforcement and elected officials to understand identity theft. Aberdeen's 2011 Fall Summit Series concluded on November 16 with the Business Analytics Summit event. Aberdeen's Industry Achievement Award for Business Analytics Excellence was presented to Timbuk2, a San Francisco-based company that made its name pioneering the messenger bag which has long been "standard equipment" for bicycle messengers everywhere.
