Abilities Expo New York Metro to Be Held This Weekend -- April 17-19, 2009

Special Events Include Fashion Shows, Sports Demonstrations and Kids Activities

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - April 14, 2009) - This weekend, Abilities Expo New York Metro will offer hundreds of new products and services as well as education sessions dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities, senior citizens, their families, as well as healthcare and education professionals. The three-day event will take place at the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison from Friday, April 17 and continue through Sunday, April 19, 2009.

HIGHLIGHTS:

--  Chloe Magazine's Dare to Change the World Fashion Showcase will
    feature the latest custom made fashion trends for men and women from
    Swedish Designer David Lega, British Designer Louisa Summerfield as well as
    USA Jeans and AG Apparel.   The Fashion Show will be held two times each
    day of the Expo.
    
--  There will be several sporting demonstrations and tournaments
    presented by the United States Power Wheelchair Soccer Association, The New
    York Jets Rugby Team, the New York Giants Wheelchair Football Team, The New
    Jersey Jr. Nets Wheelchair Basketball Association; and the Tri-State
    Wheelchair Athletic Association Track and Field and Archery teams.
    
--  NASCAR racing will be featured at the Accessible Racing Booth with the
    new VXP Virtual Driving Station that uses a steering wheel equipped with
    hand controls, enabling persons who do not have the use of their legs to
    compete in a virtual racecar.
    
--  On Friday, April 17, 2009 for the first time, Abilities Expo will
    offer healthcare professionals the opportunity to earn CEU credits and
    attend an ADA Career Fair featuring some of the nation's most progressive
    companies that are looking for talented people.
    
--  Sunday, April 19th is "KIDS DAY" offering activities for children of
    all ages including a musical performance by Singer/Songwriter Katie
    Eshelman, juggling by Gary Karp, power soccer demonstrations, and
    wheelchair basketball, track and field and archery tournaments.
