VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - May 28, 2015) -

Editors note: There are two photographs associated with this press release.

On June 13, 2015, Breast Cancer Survivors around the world will unite to celebrate 20 years since the first Breast Cancer Survivor team, Abreast In A Boat (AIAB) (www.abreastinaboat.com), took to the waters of False Creek in Vancouver. This humble beginning has grown into a world-wide force that has changed the lives of thousands of Breast Cancer Survivors. We seek and promote a healthy lifestyle through exercise. We have changed the "appearance" and the "meaning" of the term "Breast Cancer Survivor". We continue to challenge and support Breast Cancer researchers to better understand and treat this disease.

On June 13, at 3.30pm we will have a fun paddle at Alder Bay (behind the False Creek Community Centre) on Granville Island. The original crew with Dr. Don McKenzie, our 2015 novices and our special guests are invited to paddle. Media, family, friends and AIAB supporters are encouraged to come celebrate with us. Cheer on the paddlers from a beautiful viewpoint in our Abreast In A Boat garden. Greeters and pink balloons will help you find the spot.
