REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - October 28, 2010) -

  • Top cleantech entrepreneurs from around the nation convene in San Jose to compete for the 2010 national prize in the Cleantech Open finals.
  • This year's National Awards Gala showcases the boldest cleantech innovation from ambitious entrepreneurs to engaged investors, venture capitalists, and prospective green-technology customers.
  • Technology innovations cover photovoltaics, wind energy, HVAC efficiency, electronics cooling, wastewater treatment, energy storage, biofuels, and other clean-green tech.

The Cleantech Open -- the world's largest clean-technology business competition -- has announced the complete list of cleantech startups that will compete for the grand prize at the Cleantech Open National Awards Gala and Expo to be held in San Jose on November 17.

"The upcoming National Gala and Expo represents a unique opportunity for clean-technology investors and industry pundits to meet tomorrow's cleantech success stories," said Rex Northen, executive director of the Cleantech Open. "We have proved that our formula for identifying and grooming viable cleantech ideas is a winner, with numerous alumni companies now enjoying commercial success due, in large part, to the mentoring and exposure they received through the program."

National Cleantech Open winner will be announced on November 17
