In September, The Academy Is... will cross the Atlantic for a number of UK dates with We The Kings and The Maine.

"FAST TIMES AT BARRINGTON HIGH" follows the band's acclaimed second album, "SANTI." Released in April 2007, the album -- which featured the single/video, "We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands" -- drew ecstatic praise, including a cover feature in Alternative Press magazine. The band was feted in Rolling Stone as one of 2007's "10 Artists To Watch," where "SANTI" was hailed for combining "heart-on-sleeve melodrama with a hard-rock swagger." USA Today declared the album "bigger in every way than its predecessor," hailing the band for "coming of age, tightening its chops, beefing up its rhythm-section stomp and showing off frontman William Beckett's range."
