The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Announces Dates for 2005 Educational Conference and 2006 Annual Meeting

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 27, 2005 -- The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) has published its conference schedule for fall 2005 and spring 2006.

AMCP's 2005 Educational Conference will take place from October 5-8 at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville, TN. The theme for the conference is "Harmonizing the Delivery of Health Care." Keynote speakers are Bob Woodward of the Washington Post and Dr. Uwe Reinhardt, professor of Political Economy, Economics and Public Affairs. The conference features professional poster presentations, a Residency Showcase (for pharmacy graduates to explore opportunities at health plans and PBMs) and the Managed Care Industry Forum, a non-commercial educational exhibit.

AMCP's 18th Annual Meeting & Showcase, "Sound Decisions Managing Medication Therapy," will take place from April 5-8, 2006, at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, WA. The meeting includes the inauguration of AMCP's new board of directors and executive officers, award presentations for Distinguished Service and Academy Fellows, a Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee student competition, research poster competitions for students and graduates, and the Annual Showcase, featuring displays from leading pharmaceutical manufacturers.
