ACAP Health First to Make Supplements the Core of Supplemental Healthcare

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwired - May 15, 2014) - Research shows that absenteeism costs an employer, on average, $3,000 per year, per employee. To turn this trend around, ACAP Health (Accountable Care Accountable Patients) says company wellness programs need to focus on supplements.

Presenteeism could cost companies as much as $150 billion a year and according to Harvard Business Review, studies estimate presenteeism to be between 20 and 60 percent of a given company's healthcare costs.

Whitthorne says a corporate supplement accountability program is the most underutilized strategy for keeping employees healthy and one of the most cost-effective approaches with the biggest return.

"Research shows that offering employees a daily omega-3 and vitamin D-3 supplement can measurably improve immunity and overall health," said Whitthorne.
