Accela, Inc. Response to Statements Regarding State of South Carolina LLR Project

SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 22, 2011) - Accela, Inc. disputes recent public statements made by officials with the State of South Carolina's Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) and the Legislative Audit Council (LAC) regarding the deployment of Accela's enterprise, web-based licensing software for LLR. The officials' statements have misrepresented Accela's financial stability and the viability of its products. Accela's software is used by more than 500 local, state and federal government agencies in the United States and overseas.

Accela's financial position remains strong. The company's revenue has grown by more than 30% during the past five years. During the same period, Accela has continued to hire extensively, win major government business contracts, and complete multiple successful deployments at government agencies of all sizes.

Accela believes that numerous factors have influenced the State's recent comments, including changes in leadership and business priorities, and the State's recognition of widespread internal inefficiencies at LLR, which were highlighted in LAC's audit and in the State's public statements. Accela will continue to respond as required to statements by the State, which attempt to impugn the company's business and products.

Accela, Inc. is the leading provider of web- and cloud-based software applications that facilitate e-government processes for local, state, and federal government agencies of all sizes.
