ACE Earns Spot in EC-Council's Circle of Excellence

GREENBELT, MD--(Marketwire - September 9, 2009) - The Academy of Computer Education (ACE) has proven that landing a prestigious award for outstanding IT education isn't just for large, national training companies that boast multiple locations and sizeable marketing budgets. In fact, ACE has demonstrated that quality -- not company size or advertising -- is what truly counts when it comes to IT security education.

Servicing students primarily in the Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland areas, ACE, an official International Council of E-Commerce Consultants (EC-Council) accredited training provider, is proud to announce that it has been named to the EC-Council Circle of Excellence in North America. This honor is reserved for only the top five performing companies, which offer EC-Council curriculum.

The EC-Council has developed security training and certifications that are now offered in over 60 countries, and it recognizes training companies like ACE based on how successfully they teach EC-Council programs.

The exemplary teaching of the EC-Council-developed Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) course -- -- is what earned ACE the Circle of Excellence honor. The 40 hour Certified Ethical Hacker training class lasts five days and includes a certification exam, which tests students' abilities to address and remedy network vulnerabilities and security issues.

"We're very proud of the Circle of Excellence achievement," says Ralph P. Sita, founder of ACE. "Our instructors work tirelessly to make sure that our students can truly apply their security knowledge outside of a classroom setting. IT education that is of any real value must be current and applicable to the real world, and our CEH course successfully fulfills these criteria."

Sita is looking forward to accepting the Circle of Excellence award at the EC-Council-hosted Hacker Halted USA convention in Miami, Florida, later this year. During the same event, Academy of Computer Education's lead CEH instructor Joe McCray will be named to the Instructor Circle of Excellence.

Since 2001, ACE has been offering classes for MCSE, MCSA, Linux+ and many other of the IT industry's most sought-after certifications. ACE has learning centers in Greenbelt, Maryland and Ashburn, Virginia. A full listing of IT training courses can be found at
