ACI Expands with New Location

New Pittsburgh, PA Office Will Serve as Organization Headquarters

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 28, 2010) - Affordable Comfort, Inc. (ACI), the nation's leading educational resource for the home performance and weatherization industry, is pleased to announce the opening of its new organizational headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA. The not-for-profit organization will also maintain its offices in Waynesburg, PA.

"In order to keep up with the growth of the industry and the resulting increase in interest in ACI events, we have expanded the ACI team significantly in recent years. That meant we outgrew our Waynesburg location," says Amy Fazio, Executive Director of ACI. "Our roots are in Pittsburgh, where we held our first home performance educational event 25 years ago. It made perfect sense to have a portion of our operations in the city."

Ms Fazio is among the new additions to ACI, taking over leadership of the organization in March 2010. A native of Buffalo, NY, who now resides in New Brighton, PA, she holds a master's degree in public policy and environmental studies from Colorado State University and a BA degree in history from Skidmore College. She comes to ACI from Glade Run Lutheran Services where she was the director of business development and marketing.

ACI Home Performance Conferences connect individuals looking to start or advance their careers in the home performance and weatherization industry with leading trainers and subject-matter experts from across the country. Contractors, builders, energy raters, remodelers, designers and weatherization professionals count on ACI for state-of-the-art retrofit information and a seamless conference experience, including continuing education and networking opportunities that give them a competitive edge.

Retrofitting America's 130 million existing homes to improve energy efficiency, durability and occupant comfort, health and safety is a booming business. That growth is reflected in the rapid increase of attendance at ACI events throughout the 2009-2010 season so far—a 20% overall increase for regional events and a 54% increase in attendance for the National Conference, held in Austin, TX in April 2010.
