ACI to Highlight 25 People Who Influence Home Performance and Weatherization Industry

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 1, 2011) - Affordable Comfort, Inc. (ACI), the nation's leading educational resource for home performance and weatherization, is celebrating its 25th anniversary by profiling 25 people who have helped shape the industry over the past quarter-century.

A key element of the organization's silver anniversary and highlight of the 2011 National Home Performance Conference to be held March 28 to April 1, 2011 in San Francisco, these stories reflect back on the individuals who helped define a once-obscure niche and nurture it into one of the fastest growing sectors in the construction industry. The profiles also expose the new people coming onto the scene and how they are moving ACI—and the industry at large—forward into the next 25 years.

"This is a great opportunity to recognize the thought leaders in our community who have worked hard to bring energy efficiency, durability, comfort, health and safety to the forefront in home construction and retrofit," says Amy Fazio, Executive Director of ACI. "We hope these stories shed light on industry history, but we also expect that readers will be inspired to be leaders as well."

Profiles of the first of these exemplary individuals—Michael Blasnik, a leading building scientist, and David Keefe, an inspirational trainer—are available now on the ACI website, with more being added over coming weeks. To start reading 25 Years, 25 Stories, visit http://acinational.org/.

ACI's National Home Performance Conference will offer 144 core sessions—more than ever before in the event's history—providing cutting-edge information for contractors, builders, energy raters, remodelers, designers and weatherization professionals.

The ACI National Home Performance Conference will connect individuals looking to start or advance their careers in the home performance and weatherization industry with leading trainers and subject-matter experts from across the country. Networking opportunities will help newcomers and veterans alike forge and strengthen relationships, while an exhibit hall will showcase the latest products and services essential to success.
