ACI Receives Green Power: Turn It On! Award From Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future

Awards work in promoting clean energy economy in Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 6, 2010) - Affordable Comfort, Inc. (ACI), the nation's leading educational resource for the home performance and weatherization industry, was honored yesterday with the Green Power: Turn It On! Award from Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future (PennFuture).

The PennFuture awards recognize individuals and organizations for their work in promoting the clean energy economy in Pennsylvania each year. PennFuture's Green Power: Turn It On! Campaign is a multifaceted, multiyear campaign aimed at building the renewable energy market in the state. PennFuture itself is a statewide public interest membership organization that works to create a just future where nature, communities and the economy thrive.

"At ACI, we believe that every family should have a home that is energy efficient, durable, comfortable, affordable, healthy and safe. To achieve that goal, we know that every community must have access to skilled home performance professionals using the applied knowledge of the building science community. We view our role as being a key part in the development of that skilled workforce," said Carla Maxwell, Training Manager for ACI, who accepted the award on the organization's behalf. "We are honored to be recognized by PennFuture for our efforts in advancing home performance over the last 25 years."

ACI was recognized for its continued efforts to advance energy efficiency and building performance at a luncheon and awards ceremony held on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Fairmont Pittsburgh, 510 Market Street at Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA.
