Aconex Signs Enterprise Agreement With John Holland

Leading Australian Contractor Selects Aconex for Project-Wide Collaboration

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwired - Jul 1, 2015) - Aconex Limited (ASX: ACX), provider of a leading cloud collaboration platform for the global construction industry, today announced that it has signed an enterprise subscription agreement with John Holland, one of Australia's leading engineering, contracting and service providers to the infrastructure, energy, resources, and transport services sectors. Under the terms of the agreement, John Holland will make Aconex available for all of its construction and engineering projects in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

The parent company of John Holland is China Communications Construction Company International Holding Limited (CCCI), a wholly owned subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC). CCCC is currently ranked as the world's fourth largest global contractor by Engineering News-Record (ENR).

The "Aconex Unlimited" model provides John Holland with unlimited numbers of users, unlimited platform usage, unlimited volumes of data, and unlimited support over the three-year subscription agreement.

Aconex plans to invest in the John Holland enterprise relationship, which is expected to moderately increase Aconex operating costs in the next 12 months. Over the medium term of 1-3 years, Aconex will invest in sales and marketing with the addition of account management resources to drive long-term growth within and beyond the John Holland project network.

"We're excited to extend our relationship with John Holland," said Aconex CEO Leigh Jasper. "This enterprise agreement validates our leadership position in construction collaboration in Australia and globally, and supports John Holland's expansion plans under CCCC. As a result, we expect to significantly grow our user network and drive new business with John Holland and its project partners."

John Holland projects managed on the Aconex platform include:

  • Perth Children's Hospital, a A$1.2-billion project for the design and construction of a new, state-of-the-art healthcare facility to replace the existing Princess Margaret Hospital for children.
  • Ravenhall Prison, a A$650-million, public-private partnership (PPP) project for the design, construction, maintenance, and operations of a new, medium-security prison.
  • Victorian Regional Rail Link, Australia's largest public transportation infrastructure project and Melbourne's first new major rail line in 80 years, valued at $A600 million.
